Camping at school

Camping at school

At the end of March, we went camping at school again. This is an annual event and, for many, the highlight of the year. Even years later, we hear from former pupils that camping at school was a truly special experience for them. Spending the whole day playing fun games together, enjoying a tasty meal, roasting sausages or bread rolls over the campfire, and then sleeping in a classroom with all their classmates. What’s more, it’s the only holiday they’ve ever known. That makes it even more special, of course!

Above all, the school camp is great fun. It also encourages a certain degree of independence, as the children aren’t used to sleeping anywhere other than at home. During the activities, the pupils have to work together, solve little problems and get to know each other even better in a different setting.

Once again this year, one of the highlights was the campfire. Around the campfire, wonderful stories were told, songs were sung, and the pupils gave presentations in small groups that they had prepared that day.

The 2026 camp was another great success. It was wonderful to be together, forge even closer friendships, build dreams and, above all, a time when the pupils realised that, no matter where or in what circumstances you’re born, you can achieve so much!
