Nathalia and Nathalie are sisters; twins. The cheerful six-year-old girls both attend Papaya School and are in grade 1 (like group 3 in the Netherlands). They love it there and have lots of friends with whom they love to play during breaks and after school (when they wait for the school bus).
Besides themselves, Nathalia and Nathalie's family consists of their father, mother and older brother. Their father works in construction, but as this is on a project basis, there is far from always work and what he earns does not cover the family's daily expenses. Their mother mainly takes care of the house and the family, but to earn extra money, she does all kinds of outside work whenever possible. The family lives with grandma, in her small house.
After school, they play outside, do homework and the girls regularly help their mother with chores like washing the dishes, or sweeping the floor.
Later, they hope to support their families and build a better future themselves. What they want to be? School teacher or else maybe baker or policeman!
