For many years, the Utrecht housing group WWG has been dedicating itself to Stichting Kalinga on King's Night and Day. A large bandstand, bar and toilet facilities are built on the square close to the housing group. They also share part of the square with Fratelli's Pizza, which donates part of their turnover to Kalinga in return, and with Sapsalsa, which makes a nice donation to Kalinga for this every year.
Throughout King's night and evening, there will be very diverse programming in the bandstand and the residents of the residential group, their friends, together with volunteers from Kalinga, will put in their best efforts to provide all visitors with tasty drinks and a clean toilet.
Kalinga is immensely happy with this long-standing partnership and in early July it was confirmed (again!) that not only is it a really fun party, but it really does raise a wonderful amount of money; we received an amazing cheque of a whopping €9646.89 !
