Festival Do Something

Festival Do Something

For Kalinga, the last weekend of September was marked by the biennial Festival Do Something, a great and small-scale festival at Perkpolder campsite in Walsoorden (Zeeland Flanders).

During Festival Do Something, a variety of bands or other musical groups perform on three stages alternately. There are also all kinds of activities food stalls, workshops, massages and much more. This year, for instance, there was also a live fruit machine and auction of special musical instruments.

Visitors who stay longer than a day will camp in the rustic spots among the fruit trees during the festival. A lovely place to retreat, read a book or simply - with or without your eyes closed - still enjoy the music in the background.

Stichting Doe Iets, the organiser of the festival, donates all proceeds to causes in the Philippines, including the Kalinga Foundation. Naturally, our volunteers then also gladly contributed to the festival. So we cleaned the sanitary facilities, baked crepes and helped with the live fruit machine.

Many thanks Stichting Doe Iets for this great initiative and your support!
