Becoming a contributor

It’s not a big amount really. From as little as € 35 (less than € 0.10 a day) you can become a contributor. You will be sent a Newsletter twice a year in which we will completely inform you about the things we have done with the money we received. You can ask for additional information any time.

If we can count on your support, please print the letter of authority, fill it in, and send it signed to the Kalinga Foundation.

Becoming a volunteer

Dedicate yourself to Kalinga! Together with the Kalinga Foundation, you can dedicate yourself to a better education for children living on the Payatas garbage dump. Enthusiastic volunteers are of great importance for all our activities. Thanks to the dedication of many highly motivated volunteers, our Foundation is steadily growing and every year we can offer a larger number of children a primary school education. What can you do? As a volunteer, you can mean a lot to us in various ways. There are lots of things to do, but what counts most of all is that you do something you like to do. Since we are a relatively small aid organization, we can take into account the various preferences of our volunteers. Moreover, we know and realize that not everybody has a great deal of time available.

Examples of activities you could do as a volunteer:

• Soliciting for (private) contributors
• Organizing promotion activities
• Delivering lectures or presentations

These are just a few examples. When you feel like contributing something from your own field of expertise or hobby, we would like to discuss this with you. Maybe you are the person who can build a great presentation desk to be used in addressing audiences. Or you are a natural writer and you can easily write a great text for a brochure or a press release….?

What has the Kalinga Foundations to offer? We highly value a personal bond with all our volunteers who dedicate themselves to our Foundation. In good consultation with others, you start working and you develop your own projects and activities. On top of that, we are open to your own initiatives and ideas. This may be quite instructive and may result in new challenges. In conclusion, you could go to Manilla as a trainee to see how things work out in practice. We can only send one trainee at a time so an interview is necessary to be eligible for a traineeship. The Kalinga Foundation is looking for enthusiastic people who are willing to dedicate themselves to street children in Manilla. Age is irrelevant, everybody is welcome! With every person, we try to find out his or her preferences and know-how so as to optimize this person’s capabilities in our projects.
